How does e-signing work?
Each signer gets a private link by email to review the lease and sign electronically, one at a time in the order you set. You see who has signed and who hasn't, and every signer gets a copy of the signed lease as soon as it's complete.
Which leases can I create?
Standard residential leases for the provinces we support, with your own additional terms or an attached addendum. More provinces are on the way.
Can I upload my own lease instead?
Not yet. Leases are created from a standard lease form. You can add your own terms to it, or attach your own document as a PDF addendum.
Who signs first?
You choose: landlords first or tenants first. Each signer is sent the lease when it's their turn, and the next is invited as soon as they sign.
Can multiple people sign?
Yes. Add the landlords and tenants on the lease, and each one is tracked through to signed.
What happens when everyone has signed?
Every signer gets the signed lease by email, and your copy is filed in the property's Leases folder in your Document Vault. TenantBird then sets up the tenancy for you and, if the lease came from a listing, marks the listing as leased.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. There's no fee to create or e-sign a lease.
